Broken Promises

A TG Update

Greetings, dear readers and friends.

Some time has passed since you last got an update on how the sausage gets made over here at TGHQ, so I wanted to take a minute to fill you in. 

The last time we did this I made some promises that I haven't kept. I told you lovely folk that you would soon be getting comprehensive Totally Grote appraisals of the Left and the Right in American politics. That hasn't happened, and if I’m being honest, you shouldn't be holding your breath for those anytime soon. 

It’s not completely dead, though. I've got The Right about ⅔ complete, but I still have a lot that I want to put together and include, and it's proving to be a tedious and cumbersome task. Turns out that being exhaustive and comprehensive is a pain in the ass. 

In the meantime, other things pop up that are either timely, easier to work through, or are just more fun and interesting. So rather than beat my head against the wall of abstract political notions (which everybody is probably sick of anyway), I've been reaching for the low hanging fruit. 

So yes I've broken a pseudo-promise, but the upshot is that I'm getting more stuff out to you more often, dear reader. And who can complain about that?

I'm still working on the Left/Right stuff, and I'll get it out to you someday. But I've got a couple other things in the pipeline that I'm excited about and which you should be seeing in the next week or two. 

So watch out for that, and light off any of those leftover bottle rockets you might have in the meantime. And don’t be too safe about it; have a little fun, for crying out loud. Take a chance.
